Victoria Bigelow

Life’s different when you live in the desert. It’s beautiful. It’s intense. It’s still. And that’s what made it the perfect place for acclaimed singer-songwriter Victoria Bigelow to create ‘Songs For No One Vol. 1’, her highly anticipated new EP, released August 25th on Immortal Records. Exploring themes of isolation, modern society, and authenticity, with a voice full of empowerment, strength, and hard-won wisdom, ‘Songs For No One Vol. 1’ looks out to the distant horizon and asks, in the age of the internet, how does anyone forget?

Growing up in Marietta, GA, Bigelow’s life changed when her mother bought her a ten-dollar guitar to celebrate her turning twelve. The next day she wrote her first song and knew the world would never be the same again. But it was ten years later, as a 22-year-old new mother, cradling her newborn son in her arms, that Bigelow found the inspiration for her breakthrough single ‘Low’, which soon landed on Sirius XM’s ‘The Coffeehouse’ and introduced her unique brand of indie-folk-pop to the music world.

A young woman with heart and soul, Bigelow’s moody yet hopeful music has drawn comparisons with Weyes Blood, Angel Olsen, and Mazzy Star, but it’s her life, and her voice, and her honesty, that gives her a sound all of her own. Telling stories of heartbreak, adversity, and bittersweet hope, Bigelow takes love, and loss, and longing, and transforms them into music that speaks to the heart of the modern world. Songs written with no-one else around, to help all of us feel a little less alone.

Her new single, ‘Age of the Internet (Nudes)’, is the epitome of Bigelow’s sound. Released on August 25th, as part of her ‘Songs For No One Vol. 1’ EP, and ahead of the fall release of ‘Songs For No One Vol. 2’, ‘Age of the Internet (Nudes)’ holds up a mirror to the isolation of post-pandemic, terminally online, modern day America.
